Accounts Payable Specialist

Monitor emails for emergency check requests and process payments in a timely manner

Continuous evaluation of current policies and recommendations for process improvements

Reconcile payments to the bank account throughout the month to confirm all payments are recorded as paid

Daily batching of invoices from the accounts payable system to the ERP

Confirm all invoices are complete with all necessary information needed to process payment

Provide support for internal and external audits

Process weekly check runs

Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

At month end, assist with bank reconciliation for any missing items

Communication with vendors as needed

Manage distribution of invoices to the correct workflow in the accounts payable system

Ability to work independently and on a team to meet deadlines

Strong organizational and time management skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting and an ability to process a large number of payables in a timely manner. This is an in-office position.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is a plus

Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail

MRI and AvidXchange experience is a plus

Ability to juggle multiple projects and properties at one time
