Excavation and retaining structures: Design of soil and rock excavations, consolidation and retaining systems, walls and other structures to retain soil and prevent erosion.
Dikes and dams: Design, construction and analysis of dikes and dams for water management and flood control.
Slope stability: Assessment and design of slopes to prevent landslides and ensure stability.
Tunnels and underground structures: Planning and construction of tunnels and other underground facilities.
Soil mechanics and numerical modeling: The study and representation of soil properties and behavior in order to assess its suitability for construction projects.
