What you would be doing

You will lead the team to ensure the successful delivery of the pre-construction phase of the development, including the; project vision, design, town planning, and place creation aspects of complex projects. You will ensure we deliver viable, high quality, safe and sustainable schemes on programme and to budget. In doing so you will lead, motivate, develop and manage your team and foster a spirit of collaboration across wider teams and stakeholders (both internal and external). You’ll Identify and communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the development business; ensuring we deliver Clarion's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these principles and achieve our annual targets. You’ll also work with the Regional Managing Director, and wider Regional Leadership Team to implement and deliver strategic business initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve team performance and efficiency.

Reporting to the Regional Managing Director, you’ll be accountable for the Development Management team, leading on the development of residential lead and mixed-use schemes. You will be managing a high-performing regional team across a wide range of projects from land led sites through to large regeneration projects and joint ventures.

The ideal candidate will come to us educated to degree level or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field. You’ll be a proven leader with substantial people management experience, a range of real estate industry experience including extensive residential experience and substantial experience of development, master planning & place creation.

Applicants must be able to travel across the region as required.

We’re seeking an experienced and inspiring Regional Director of Development to join our fast-growing Development team in the South.

You must be eligible to work in the UK to apply for this vacancy; Clarion are not able to offer visa sponsorship. You are required to reside in England or Wales for the duration of your employment.

Occasional travel may be required with attendance at your designated office base and occasional travel to other Clarion offices as and when required.

This is a hybrid role with a base location at our offices in Greater London House. Candidates will be expected to work from the office at least 3 days per week with occasional travel out to sites.

Salary: From £100,044 to £125,055 per annum + £5,000 car allowance (in exceptional circumstances we would consider a salary of up to 10% above the top of the advertised range)
