Land Development Engineer - Lead Designer

Description

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction administration.
• Design land development plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, covering grading, stormwater, utilities, and erosion control.
• Prepare legislative applications, site plans, and storm sewer designs (SWM/BMP).
• Design water and sanitary sewer systems in compliance with local zoning and standards.
• Develop erosion and sediment control plans per state criteria.
• Assist with project management tasks such as cost estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members.

Requirements

RDA is hiring a motivated, detail‑oriented Land Development Engineer to lead design efforts on residential, commercial, and mixed‑use projects. The role requires expertise in site‑civil design, including grading, stormwater management, utilities, and erosion control, and offers a $10,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates.

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 4–8 years of land development/site‑civil experience.
• Possess a PE license or be an EIT planning to obtain a PE within one year.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiar with local codes, standards, and permitting processes.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
