The Field Trainer reports to the Regional Manager and is responsible for educating staff on company policies, marketing, systems, collections, occupancy, community maintenance, staff and resident relations, and expense control across regional communities.
In this role, the trainer partners with regional and community leaders to identify operational gaps, acts as a liaison between the EDGE team and Community Managers, and provides ongoing peer support and customized coaching to help teams achieve their goals. They develop and execute strategic plans for each community, ensure consistency in processes such as leasing, collections, and advertising, and monitor employee progress on systems and procedures.
- Partner with regional and community leaders to understand operational gaps and address them through coaching or training.
- Act as liaison between the EDGE team and Community Managers to resolve training or coaching issues.
- Provide ongoing peer support to regional employees to help communities meet their goals.
- Identify areas of opportunity and deliver customized sessions with Community Managers for continuous learning.
- Strategize, develop, and execute plans for each community and its team members.
- Onboard new CMITs, Community Managers, Sales and Leasing Agents, Office Admin and Maintenance Staff on company policies and procedures.
- Utilize YES materials to educate new and existing regional employees.
- Develop consistency in the region for employee meetings, lease and sales processes, filing, collections, onboarding, advertising, refurb, etc.
- Monitor and track progress of regional employees on systems and procedures.
- Train staff on resident interaction, prospect, and vendor management scenarios.
- Attend ongoing company education seminars to gain expert proficiency on new policies and procedures.
- Communicate policy and procedure updates at regional meetings or conference calls.
- Meet with Professional Development Manager twice a month for at least 30 minutes.
- Manage communities as needed for up to two weeks.
- Meet with Operations Manager once a month for one hour.
- Meet with Regional Manager weekly to discuss the regional training plan.
- Participate in a 401(k) plan with company match.
