Key responsibilities include entering and auditing HR actions and payroll data in SAP with high accuracy, processing payroll for all Avangrid companies using the global platform, and reviewing vendor interfaces for benefits, 401(k) savings, and payroll taxes. The analyst provides first‑level consultative payroll support, audits employee expense reports for policy compliance, prepares weekly and monthly SAP reports, and reconciles payroll taxes, 401(k), and HSA plans while filing quarterly and annual tax reports.
Additional duties involve supporting internal and external audits by preparing and validating reports, performing general ledger reconciliations, collaborating with other departments to ensure monthly account balances, and testing HR/Payroll SAP and Workday modules in quality environments with documented results.
Required qualifications include a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical and research skills, and the ability to make recommendations based on findings. Candidates must have effective verbal and written communication, strong time‑management and organizational abilities, and proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office, while being able to work independently with periodic supervision.
The work environment requires regular in‑office attendance in Boston, the ability to work in an open collaborative space with some noise, and eight hours of screen time with continuous keyboard use. Employees must be able to answer and return incoming phone calls and may be assigned system‑emergency or NERC reliability roles that could demand work outside regular schedules.
Education and experience requirements vary: a bachelor’s degree is preferred with no experience required, an associate’s degree with a minimum of three years relevant experience, or a high school/GED with at least five years relevant experience.
The Analyst – Personnel Administration role reports to the Manager of Personnel Administration and is located in Boston, MA. The base salary ranges from $75,000 to $80,000 depending on experience and location.
