Preconstruction Manager – Design Management Support

Colliers Project Leaders is hiring a Preconstruction Manager – Design Management Support for a key data center client. The role provides day‑to‑day coordination, managing design documentation, schedules, and package tracking while maintaining Procore standards and ensuring compliance across architects and engineers. Acting as a liaison among design teams, project management, and construction, the manager drives clarity, closes submittals, resolves RFIs, and supports QA/QC and change management to keep design delivery efficient and aligned across multiple buildings.

• Manage Procore file structure and enforce compliance by architect/engineer partners.
• Maintain accurate weekly design schedule updates and track design packages, narratives, and scopes.
• Facilitate design alignment across buildings, capture lessons learned, and coordinate value‑engineered items.
• Engage design‑assist, EOR, and subcontractor partners; develop meeting trackers and drive submittal/shop‑drawing closure.
• Lead cross‑EOR coordination meetings and ensure design clarity throughout the project.
• Conduct weekly construction administration meetings with A&E partners; oversee submittals, RFIs, and escalations.
• Perform site visits with A&E and QA/QC teams; manage mock‑ups, FOKs, and design reviews.
• Serve as liaison between project management, construction management, and A&E teams.
• Support change management and PCO entitlements; advise cost management team on cost‑impacting RFIs or bulletins.
• Execute QA/QC of design issuances, ensuring change categories are documented at the drawing level.
• Assist with integration of customer or tenant design requirements as needed.

Requirements

• Hold a degree in Architecture, Design, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Bring 4+ years of design/preconstruction or project‑management experience with design‑management responsibilities.
• Demonstrate familiarity with MEP systems and data‑center operations.
• Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
