

Design and make software for architecture, engineering, construction, and entertainment industries.
The SME advises Product Management, Engineering, and Design teams on initiatives to align with real‑world jobsite workflows and industry standards, contributes to business planning, and provides structured feedback during alpha and beta testing cycles. They participate in early testing of new features, influence the roadmap through field insights and competitive analysis, and validate AI use cases for accuracy, relevance, bias mitigation, safety, and industry applicability.
Acting as a product ambassador, the SME represents Autodesk at industry events, supports Sales with roadmap presentations, and facilitates Product Advisory Groups by developing agendas, synthesizing insights, and following up on actions. They capture customer feedback, pain points, and emerging trends, and collaborate with Marketing on webinars, thought‑leadership initiatives, and social‑media engagement while ensuring technical accuracy of industry‑facing content.
In partnership with Autodesk R&D, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) bring deep construction domain expertise and hands‑on product knowledge to support product development, accelerate customer adoption, and validate new capabilities, including AI‑driven innovations. This role ensures the voice of the customer is consistently reflected in the product roadmap and serves as an outward‑facing advocate across the construction ecosystem. The position is remote‑eligible for candidates based in the United States.
Candidates must have 10+ years of construction industry experience focused on project management and operations, with a proven ability to translate delivery challenges into product improvements. Experience supporting both self‑perform and contracted work, strong presentation and communication skills, analytical detail‑orientation, collaborative interpersonal abilities, and willingness to travel monthly are required; international experience in EMEA and APAC is a plus.
