Mechanic

Description

• Creates order of work outlining parts required, a timeline of repair, and estimated cost
• Removes and disassembles equipment to inspect parts and functionality
• Regularly diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment
• Lifting of objects up to 50 pounds, on occasion.
• Operates machines to test the functioning of parts or mechanisms
• Replace electrical or mechanical components or parts, using hand and/or power tools
• Utilizes database to identify stock of replacement parts
• Utilize a computer and other tools for administrative support
• Daily encounters with customers to communicate cost breakdowns and parts needed for repair

Requirements

• Knowledge of electrical components is a plus
• Able to read and comprehend manuals, procedures, and other written documents
• Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping
• Ability to utilize company's Point of Sale system effectively to order equipment needed
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• General knowledge of hand and power tools, tools are company provided
• A basic mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to perform duties in a warehouse environment, which may be non-air conditioned or heated, meaning the indoor temperature fluctuates with the seasons.
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
• Experience with small engine repair
• Verbal communication with customers required daily
• Basic computer skills
• 0 - 5% Travel (if training is required)
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
• 5+ years of experience in similar roles preferred
