The role involves directing engineering and design coordination from concept through detailed design, field support, and closeout, while supporting overall account management, client engagement, peer reporting, and conflict resolution. The Project Manager will lead efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget, and will coordinate facility studies for various RTOs and systems design activities to meet specifications, codes, and client requirements.
Responsibilities include preparing clear technical reports and studies that conform to client requirements and S&L formats, performing independent reviews of calculations and drawings, and providing field support throughout project execution.
Candidates must hold a BS from an ABET‑accredited engineering program (or an advanced management/business degree) and have at least ten years of experience designing multi‑disciplinary solutions for utility high‑voltage substations, including five years leading an engineering design team. Required knowledge includes MISO facility studies, the DPP process, and engineering standards such as NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEC, IEEE, and ANSI.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, experience serving as a firm/client liaison, and willingness to travel to project sites are also required. Preferred qualifications include a PE license, PMP certification, and construction, start‑up, or commissioning experience.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement with three days per week on‑site and two days remote, and a generous relocation package is available depending on location.
