Office surveying technician creating CAD drawings from field data and mentoring staff.

Tasks
-Makes suggestions & undertakes company mandated trainings to increase skill and ability. -Communicates ideas for drawing execution, design and layout. -Adheres to company and client standard CAD procedures as mandated. -Mentors less experienced surveying technicians and offers advice & knowledge. -Work independently to obtain records & project information -Maintains schedules and communicates progress on a daily basis. -Exercises independent judgment in the execution of surveying deliverables. -Prepares complex drawings from field data and field sketches using computer-aided drafting software platforms and ensures drawings are accurate and complete.

What You Bring
-CST1 or CST 2 or CST 3 (certified survey technician level 1 or 2 or 3) certification. -10+ years previous surveying experience -Expert knowledge of AutoCAD C3D and/or MicroStation ORD -Experience with MS Office products (Word & Excel) -Excellent communication skills -Valid US driver's license & good driving record -Ability to use a computer and work in an office environment. -Primarily an office position, ability to work outside on projects if needed. -Ability to work in various terrain & weather conditions and recognize safety hazards. -High School diploma or equivalent -Ability to understand and utilize current & new technology -Expert/advanced understanding of land surveying and geometry. -Experienced with Aerial Drone and 3D Point Cloud scanning technology. -6+ years previous surveying experience -Ability to operate in a mentor / mentee team atmosphere -Positive and collaborative work ethic -Requires the ability to work on multi-discipline projects simultaneously.
