Controller

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Controller located in San Diego, CA. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance with regulations. Day-to-day tasks involve managing accounting records, preparing financial statements, conducting audits, and ensuring accurate and timely financial information. The Controller will also collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

• Monthly GAAP financial statements for internal use
• Managing the Company’s annual financial statement audit
• Oversee day to day operations including AR / AP / Payroll / general ledger activity
• Manage insurance and bonding requirements and communications
• Preparing budgetary and cash flow projections for the Company

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is a plus
• Strong proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Ability to perform accounting functions for multiple operating entities
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively with team members
• Working knowledge of Contractor V
• Ability to navigate prequalification requests as needed
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Must have strong construction accounting understanding in order to develop and prepare monthly work-in-process schedules including accurate job costing and allocations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in financial compliance and conducting audits
