Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, the Engineering Officer/Engineer will work with a team of Engineers, Engineering Officers and Project Delivery Officers to plan maintenance, breakdowns and construction on Ausgrid’s distribution network, including overhead, underground and substation work on 415 V/11 kV. The role involves desktop analysis, site visits, job planning, preparation of Network Access Requests, Job Packs, Resource Requests and NECF, and managing stakeholder relationships to provide quality job documentation for safe, reliable network operation.

- Cert III Electrical Trade or Advanced Diploma or Degree in an electrical or relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent).
- Significant experience and technical expertise in a relevant trade or engineering‑related role within electricity distribution or a similar industry.
- Class C Driver’s Licence.
- Sound knowledge of statutes, regulations, safe working practices, network standards and codes of practice.
- Experience managing multiple tasks or projects and prioritising activities.
- Effective verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to work within a team to deliver projects or outcomes within time and cost constraints.
- Experience liaising with diverse stakeholders and resolving complex complaints or issues.
- Ability to monitor costs and financial impacts across work activities, projects or programs.
- Advanced computer skills across a variety of software packages, tools and applications.
- Experience preparing both written and system‑based project or work documentation.
- Proven problem‑solving skills and implementation of effective solutions.
