  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring expectations on service, quality and cost are met.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of VAT projects to ensure effective, value-driven service delivery within budget.
  • Collaborate across departments to develop new opportunities and grow the firm’s regional VAT offering.
  • Support business development by identifying potential clients and assisting with proposals for new work.
  • Identify and advise on VAT planning opportunities and undertake specialist technical work.
  • Manage and oversee VAT client work, including the review and preparation of VAT returns.

I have a new opportunity for an experienced VAT professional to join a leading national advisory firm. This is a great role for someone looking to take the next step in their tax career, managing a varied portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality VAT advice and compliance services. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and other service lines, supporting a wide range of businesses while contributing to the continued growth of the team.

This role is ideal for an experienced VAT Manager or Assistant Manager, with CTA/ATII or equivalent with both advisory and compliance experience.

  • Commercial awareness and an interest in business development.
  • Strong client management and project delivery skills.
  • Proven experience in indirect tax, including VAT advisory and compliance work.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work within budget and deadlines.
  • Effective leadership and team management experience.
  • CTA or ATII qualification (or equivalent), ideally combined with ACA or ACCA.
