What you would be doing

- Obtain concrete samples from the ready mix trucks
- Walk, stoop, bend, and climb up and down stairs and ladders
- Proactively review all project documents and testing procedures, and exhibit
- Drive a company vehicle in a safe manner
- Obtain and deliver soil samples from the jobsite to the laboratory
- Observe and record construction crew performance data for related activities
- Make concrete test cylinders
- Establish personal goals for improving job performance
- Interact with clients and contractors in a professional and ethical manner
- Follow all written procedures for work being performed
- Utilize a 40 lb. nuclear gauge to run tests on construction materials
- Report to the Team Leader corrective actions (when necessary) to best
- Run tests on concrete samples and deliver the samples to the laboratory
- Ensures on time and regular attendance
- Perform visual inspection of rebar
- Perform all tasks assigned in a professional and ethical manner and
- Work in high grounds and high open buildings
- Ensure that standards for quality and quantity of work are implemented on all
- Ensure that company-owned equipment is maintained in good working order
- Submit daily reports and other documentation to the Team Leader as
- Prepare reports and perform field activities in a timely manner
- Attend and actively participate in safety meetings and training programs to
- Establish and maintain a daily diary of all field activities for each project

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six (6) months of experience in construction material testing
- Communicate effectively with others written and verbally
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE for hazardous materials
- Must be willing to work flexible schedules and overtime as needed by the
- ACI Level I Certification (must be able to obtain)
- Nuclear Gauge Certification
- Ability to read and write in English
- Preferred candidates will demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to travel to various job sites and locations as required
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Stand, walk and balance in irregular and uneven terrain and pavements,
- Pull or push 400 lbs. in a wheelbarrow
