Elect and provide leadership for the EHSS committee
Submit required regulatory and internal reporting in a complete and timely manner
Implement and enforce policies and procedures to surpass those required by local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to EHSS. Support corporate initiatives, as defined
Conduct Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) training in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements
Conduct investigations for all EHSS related incidents and near misses
Some lifting of materials and equipment up to [20–50 lbs.] may occasionally be required.
Manage facility air and water permits, SWPPP, SPCC, FRP, TRI, Tier II, HazWaste, FCC, FAA, HazMat, and other Regulatory Compliance records and reports
Implement containment and corrective actions for all incidents
Assist production/maintenance team with improvement projects that support our objectives
Promote EHSS awareness at the plant and monitor for EHSS compliance
Communicate with the EHSS committee and follow through with their suggestions and concerns
Potentially lead a team of EHSS Specialists to create a strong and cohesive talent pool.
Maintain inventory on all EHSS supplies and PPE
Occasional travel to other facilities, trainings, or industry events may be required.
Maintain all regulatory records to comply with inspections by state and federal agencies

Ability to work in both office and industrial plant environments, shifting between administrative duties and hands-on safety oversight in production areas.

Must be able to walk, stand, bend, climb stairs/ladders, and occasionally work at heights or in confined spaces while conducting inspections and audits.
This position requires frequent presence in manufacturing and processing areas, which may involve exposure to moving mechanical equipment, noise, dust, fumes, chemicals, and varying temperatures (hot/cold).
5 years of experience in EHSS, preferably in management
Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations dealing with Title V, NPDES, SWPPP, SPCC, PSM, OSHA standards, air, water and waste, EAP, FRP, RMP, water use and discharge, LDAR,
Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques
Proven ability to organize and lead people and projects
Strong MS Office experience and proficiency with developing and using spreadsheets and/or databases.
Ability to multi-task and take ownership of assigned projects
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated plant areas (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves etc.).
Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or related field required
