The Asset Operations function forms the cornerstone of service delivery to customers, protecting the environment and meeting regulatory standards as well as managing the majority of operational expenditure. The Asset Operations function has responsibility for operational and maintenance strategy, policies, planning and standard operating procedures for Water and Wastewater operations both nationally and regionally, ensuring that value for money and customer service is delivered.

The Operations Support Team has responsibility for providing and managing effective business infrastructure and processes at a national level to support operational activities at site level.

Reporting to the Insights Manager, the Insights Performance Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality analysis to provide insights to the Asset Operation’s functions through a number of key activities including; developing best in class reporting capabilities, data and technical support, promotion of “Right First Time” and the delivery of the Insights & Support Team’s programme of works.

  • Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.
  • Responsible for leading and managing the performance of a team to provide the necessary direction and skills to ensure the effective provision of the teams programme of work
  • Develop and support Asset Operation’s Centralised Reporting and “Right First Time” initiatives
  • Ensure interim reporting capabilities are in place, supporting operational oversight across the Asset Operations functions
  • Manage performance reporting requirements for the Asset Operations Functions and support the Team’s programme of works.
  • Drive and promote, best in class, Enterprise Content Management initiatives
  • Prepare and communicate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to inform internal and external stakeholders on Asset Operations operational performance and quality check same
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business
  • Participate in and support Communications and Connectivity activities (The Filter, Newsletters, Staying Connected & other UÉ publications as required
  • Provide insights to relevant stakeholders across Asset Operations
  • Ensure efficient working relationships with other business teams, providing best in class customer service to stakeholders
  • Manage preparation of documents and reports which detail Operational Performance in each operational area against Asset Operation’s Work Programme and business targets
  • Perform data quality checks and ensure data provided by Asset Operations Functions is accurate and measures are highlighting true Operational performance
  • Embed emerging technologies to enable reporting and data analysis at regional and national level, identifying trends and benchmarking.
  • Participate in and support Asset Operations Employee Engagement, Well-Being and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives as required
  • Provide high quality, customer focused, technical and data support to Asset Operations Function
  • Manage the design and building of standardised Asset Operations reporting capabilities for handover for BAU (Business As Usual) activities
  • Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.

  • Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion along with the ability to communicate complex information to others
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience relevant experience required. Experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable
  • Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements
  • Demonstrated people management experience, with strong people, change management and conflict resolution skills
  • Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions
