Assist with the adherence to the environmental and sustainable practises and improvements in the business.
To hold or assist with monthly HSE committee meetings and to work alongside other HSE engineers within the organisation.
Assist in the development and implementation of the HSE strategy and plan to support the annual business plan and long-term strategy

Be an organisational representative in its dealings with external outside bodies
Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported and investigated in accordance with HSE guidelines and company's policies and procedures.
With the quality engineer actively work with and follow up NCR and drive to reduce the number and cost associated with them.
Ensure HSE management systems are maintained in accordance with relevant standards and guidelines, policies and procedures.
Help maintain a system for health, safety, environmental to meet legislation, accreditation and directive requirements within the Whitstable plant. There may be a requirement to attend our other facility in Snodland (VP) on some days during the year
Assist with industry and insurance audits
Co-ordinator of the HSE Steering Committee, providing statistical summaries to senior management identifying any significant trends and occurrences and ensuring improvement actions are shared throughout the organisation
