Tasks

-Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation to support clearance recommendations. -Influences security screening protocols and procedural improvements. -Makes independent decisions on security clearance eligibility recommendations. -Takes active role in team meetings -Provide guidance and support to applicants throughout the clearance process. -Maintain detailed records of applications, statuses, and renewals. -Enhance the world around you - from the environment to the highways, to the buildings and the terrain, WSP is the fabric of Canada. -Evaluates security risk factors and potential clearance disqualifications. -Support CSO -Oversee the full lifecycle of security clearances, from initial application to final determination: Coordinate and manage security clearance applications with relevant government agencies. Verify and validate personal and professional documentation for eligibility. Maintain detailed records of applications, statuses, and renewals. Liaise with governmental security agencies to process and track requests. -Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) to ensure thorough background checks and security screening for all new hires. -Verify clean desk policy in effect -Determines additional administrative steps for clearance applications. -Performs ACSO duties with no non-compliances -Manage the secure sending and receiving of project materials (documentation and equipment) -Conduct site orientations for secure areas -Respond to security-related requests from Corporate Security Officers (CSOs). -Ensure compliance with all applicable governmental security protocols and regulations when acting as an ACSO of a site. -Coordinate and manage security clearance applications with relevant government agencies. -Collaborate with consultants, internal team members, client, and government representatives to support security operations. -Completes assigned clearances, renewals, and terminations accurately and in a timely manner -Liaise with governmental security agencies to process and track requests. -Assist with renewals, terminations, upgrades, and new applications. -Ensure strict confidentiality and compliance with security information management protocols. -Verify and validate personal and professional documentation for eligibility. -Conduct initial and ongoing security risk assessments for candidates. -Act as Alternate Corporate Security Officer (ACSO) for work location as required. Conduct site orientations for secure areas Verify clean desk policy in effect Support CSO Ensure compliance with all applicable governmental security protocols and regulations when acting as an ACSO of a site.

What You Bring

-Minimum 2 years of experience in security clearance processing. -Advanced understanding of governmental security clearance regulations. -Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and/or French. -Diploma in Security Management, Administrative Assistance, or a related field. -Valid Reliability-level security clearance (Secret-level clearance considered an asset. -Training in government Industrial security protocols (preferred). -Willingness and ability to orient employees on required security procedures and protocols. -Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion. -Knowledge of privacy laws and information protection standards (an asset). -Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and processes.
