Inspect, repair, and maintain overhead and mono-rail cranes at Cleveland Cliffs facility.
Provides customers with safety notifications, maintenance recommendations, and quotations for necessary repairs.
Maintains all company-issued equipment, vehicle, and assets in good working conditions.
Repairs or replaces worn-out or broken parts and components, ensuring cranes are in optimal working condition.
Participates in monthly safety meetings and report any safety concerns.
Conducts regular inspections and troubleshooting of overhead cranes and related hoisting systems to detect malfunctions and areas needing repair.
Performs electrical maintenance, including checking controllers, contractors, relays, boards, and wiring.
Installs, dismantles, and performs maintenance on overhead cranes and related equipment.
Inspects the structural integrity of cranes, looking for cracks in components such as handrails, cabs, girders, end trucks, and electrical boards.
Adheres to safety protocols and ensures compliance with OSHA, ANSI/ASME, CMAA, HMI, and other applicable regulations.
Operates tools, vehicles, and equipment safely and responsibly.
Works with the service office to schedule and complete maintenance, repairs, and inspections in a timely manner.
Perform overhead reaching and handling heavy parts.

Able to work off the ground, in confined spaces, and at heights.
5 years of related crane experience (2000+ man-hours), including at least two years in crane field duties such as crane inspection, crane operation, heavy equipment maintenance, or engineering.
Valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Physical demands include lifting, climbing, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and working at heights.
Able to work for extended periods (up to 16 hours) in physically demanding conditions.
OSHA 10 Certification.
Associate degree in industrial electrical/mechanical technology or related field. High School diploma and 2 years mechanical experience, or technical college degree in a related mechanical field, or 3+ years industrial maintenance experience.
Climbing ladders and stairs and working in confined or elevated spaces.
Able to respond to breakdowns and emergency callouts.
Be available for on-call service rotation and occasional out-of-town travel for repairs.
