Project Draftsman

Description

• Create and revise AutoCAD site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, structural/framing, and MEP drawings
• Convert sketches, markups, and PDFs into accurate CAD files
• Coordinate drawings with lead designer, engineer, and project managers
• Maintain organized CAD files and drawing logs
• Assist with permit, bid, and construction documents
• Update drawings based on field conditions and RFIs
• Meet project deadlines while ensuring accuracy

Requirements

North Coast Design Build is seeking a skilled Construction AutoCAD Project Draftsman to produce accurate, detailed technical drawings for commercial construction projects. The Draftsman will work closely with the in‑house lead project designer and engineer to translate concepts, redlines, and field conditions into high‑quality construction documents, following company CAD guidelines for naming conventions, data storage, and layout standards.

• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D (3D a plus)
• Understand construction methods, materials, and terminology
• Read architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Work independently and manage multiple projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Associate’s degree or certification in drafting, architecture, engineering, or related field
• Experience in commercial or residential construction
• Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar software
• Knowledge of local permitting and inspection processes
• Field or construction background
