- Delivering end-to-end financial support for corporate investments and investment growth opportunities, including asset optimisation, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and major regeneration projects and other growth routes.
- Financial analysis and evaluation of strategic investment and business growth opportunities.
- Managing the day to day running of the strategic initiatives function.
- Oversee robust financial monitoring and reporting service for all group commercial and corporate investment activities.
- Provide strategic leadership by maintaining and developing the long-term financial Business Plan, ensuring effective forward planning tools and reporting for the business and Board to manage risk and long-term capacity.
- Analyse and review the financial impact of new initiatives and strategic decisions on the overall organisational financial capacity.
- Deliver a range of LTFP, financial modelling and related activities to support decision making for all aspects of Group Strategy and managing risk.

- A CCAB-qualified accountant (or equivalent) is preferred; significant post-completion experience is essential.
- Demonstrable management experience in finance / financial services in a large and complex organisation with substantial capital budgets.
- Although home-based, you must be able to travel to our offices in Solihull and Worcester, typically 2–3 times per month.
- Thorough understanding of the technical, risk, commercial and strategic issues and implications arising from complex investment decisions.
- Knowledge and understanding of long term financial planning and investment appraisal methodologies
- Strong experience of financial modelling and producing financial analysis for Strategic Investment decisions
- Well-developed business management skills and understanding of delivering an excellent customer-based service in a complex organisation with both social and commercial activities
