As a Summer Intern you will perform programming and conceptual design tasks through the preparation of contract documents under the direct supervision of interior designers. You will support architectural and interior projects involving new construction, renovation, tenant improvement, and FF&E work.
Interns work as part of a multidisciplinary team across all phases of multiple simultaneous projects, focusing on design and technical documentation tasks such as space planning, design presentations, FF&E selection, and producing deliverable drawing sets. They also assist with site investigations, cross‑discipline coordination, and maintaining the interior design materials library while staying current on industry trends.
- Assist in designing and specifying project‑appropriate interior design requirements
- Support selection and documentation of FF&E
- Perform Revit modeling and detailing
- Conduct site investigations and observations
- Prepare narratives, design presentations, boards, drawings, and specifications with high quality under schedule and budget constraints
- Facilitate cross‑discipline discussions and coordination
- Organize and maintain the interior design materials library
- Stay current on industry trends in space planning, lighting, finishes, furniture, and equipment
- Participate in client and internal meetings, construction contract administration, and marketing/business development activities

Candidates must be currently enrolled in an interior design program at a CIDA‑accredited university. Proficiency with Revit, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, along with strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills. A positive attitude, teamwork, and demonstrated leadership in extracurricular activities are also valued.
