- Prepare permits and compliance programs for multiple environmental media, including air, wastewater, stormwater, waste, spill prevention and storage tanks, EPCRA (Tier II, TRI)
- Perform multi‑media environmental compliance audits, gap assessments, inspections, and program reviews
- Develop and support implementation and management of monitoring and spill prevention and contingency plans (e.g., SPCC, FRP, SWPPP, Hazardous Waste Contingency Plans)
- Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff for specific project assignments
- Lead and assist in the preparation of proposals, including scope and cost development
- Manage project budgets and assist in invoicing as project or task manager
- Interact with and build relationships with clients, contractors/subcontractors, and internal practice leaders
- Manage and deliver multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines
- Prepare technical documents such as reports, plans, permit applications, and other written deliverables
- Train and mentor junior staff
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team to support projects across the US

The company is seeking an Environmental Permitting and Compliance Engineer, Scientist, or Project Manager in Parsippany or Princeton, NJ. This role involves overseeing air, wastewater, stormwater, waste, spill prevention, storage tank compliance, and multi‑media environmental audits, while developing monitoring and contingency plans, preparing permits and reports, guiding junior staff, and interacting with clients and senior management.
Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering or Science, with a master's preferred, and have at least five years of experience in environmental regulations and permitting. Preferred credentials include professional certification and a 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification, along with strong communication, analytical, and multitasking skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.
