10+ years of Civil Engineering experience with a focus in hydraulic modeling and design
Experience with FEMA floodplain management, modeling, and permitting (LOMR/CLOMR)
Experience with Aquatic Organism Passage (AOP) desirable
Experience in HY-8
A strong understanding of hydraulics and hydrology in engineering design, including runoff calculations, open-channel hydraulics including application to bridge hydraulic and scour analysis, culvert design, and detention structure/BMP design principles
Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Idaho (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
Experience in hydraulic modeling using 1D/2D HEC-RAS and SMS SRH-2D
B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field)
1D and 2D Hydraulic and surface water modeling for bridge openings, culverts, and floodplains; bridge scour evaluation and mitigation design; floodplain analysis and permitting; drainage, gravity, and irrigation system modeling and design; and stormwater management analysis considering control of water quantity and quality
Familiarity with HEC-18, HEC-20, and HEC-23
