Generator Engineer - Nights

You’ll be responsible for maintaining and supporting our fleet of Rehlko and Kohler generators (20–1500kVA), playing a key role in keeping essential infrastructure running across the region.

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on diesel generators.
• Adhere to all company H&S, environmental, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Coordinators to ensure smooth scheduling and handovers.
• Diagnose faults and carry out breakdown repairs.
• Occasionally support mobile engineers in the field using a company vehicle.
• Work a permanent night shift, 12 hours per shift, on a 4 on / 4 off rota.
• Pick up parts from local suppliers when needed.
• Maintain accurate job records using our in-house system.

• Able to complete risk assessments and follow safe systems of work.
• Confident communicating with team members and working unsupervised.
• 10% night shift uplift
• NVQ Level 3 (or time-served) in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Hands-on experience with generators (20–1500kVA) is highly desirable.
• Full UK driving licence (max 6 points) – towing experience is a bonus (training available).
• Internal systems and product training
• Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently on nights.
