The Mechanical Component Engineer role focuses on creating innovative solutions for complex problems, particularly in control valve design and engineering. You will join Baker Hughes' Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) team, which operates across 120 countries and serves the entire energy value chain and industrial sector.
In this position you will develop and configure valve and actuator designs, define material and quality requirements, and use 2D/3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, ProE, or UG along with Excel for calculations. You will work with cross‑functional and global teams, prepare technical data for customers, and ensure documentation and compliance with standards like ASME, FM, PED, and ATEX.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering and has 1‑3 years of experience in design, analysis, or a technical role. Required knowledge includes control valve design, instrumentation, pneumatics/hydraulics, materials, coatings, and a passion for automation and coding.
