The Manager – Project Execution is responsible for planning and executing projects within budget, cost, and time constraints, adhering to applicable norms and regulations. The role provides guidance and suggests corrective actions to the team to achieve operational excellence. It also leads the acquisition of statutory clearances and Right of Way clearances required for project execution.
Key responsibilities include leading statutory clearances such as PLC, Railway, National Highway, State Highway, Forest and PTCC for transmission line construction, and managing Right of Way clearance with the ground team while staying within budgeted cost. The manager monitors project execution in coordination with the reporting manager and EPC to ensure required outputs, and plans and monitors the supply and inventory of materials needed to complete the project on schedule.
The role oversees profitable, on‑time, and within‑budget execution of a portfolio of power transmission projects across several states and customer segments, including EPC and PPP projects. It involves directing, developing, and building capabilities within the Projects Organization across specialized areas such as project management, execution, regulatory/ROW/forest clearances, quality, safety, health & environment, and contracting.
The manager develops and recommends project execution plans and schedules to avoid deviations from approved plans, providing guidance and corrective actions to site teams when challenges arise. Travel to project sites is required, and the position demands behavioural competencies such as impact and influence, information seeking, initiative, and innovative thinking, as well as functional competencies in financial, operational, people, and strategic domains.
