Draws rough sketches or arranges for finished drawings or photographs to illustrate specified materials or assembly sequence.
Collaborate with outside sales personnel and customers to accurately complete, safe and quality structures.
Review design(s) for most efficient and profitable use of inventory, equipment, and labor as time permits.
Writes technical descriptions specifying material qualities and properties.
Assures stability, deflection and load carries in a manner that will meet or surpass codes associated with each project.
Confers with client, technical staff, and other Design Services personnel, and prepares design modifications as required.
Follow quality control procedures for completeness, accuracy, and code compliance for the implementation of design standards.
Develop and complete design details from original concept drawings and prepare layouts.

Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Subject to both typical office environment and outside locations with temperature and weather variations.
The employee is regularly required to use close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) and color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
