About the Role
The role involves supporting automotive OEM and Tier 1 customers by bridging technical requirements with Nucor’s production capabilities. Safety is the top priority; candidates must be able to lead and maintain safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. • Interpret and communicate OEM/Tier 1 quality and technical requirements, supplier portals, and material specifications. • Manage customer feedback, claims, and corrective actions, keeping account managers and production teams informed. • Lead cross‑divisional problem‑solving for quality and technical opportunities and support RFQs. • Collaborate with OEM/Tier 1 to anticipate material needs and convey mill capabilities. • Assist customers early in material selection and support application of Nucor automotive‑grade steels. • Provide design support for efficient steel structures and guide grade development based on OEM input. • Uphold and lead safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
