Fabricate, cut, bundle, and load reinforcing steel per customer orders.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Operate a bender to fabricate reinforcing steel to required dimensions. • Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths. • Operate an overhead crane to move, assemble, and select material to be fabricated or shipped. • Unload trailers and store materials in storage bins. • Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping. • Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner. • Assist other employees in any of the above tasks.

What You Bring
• Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication's vision and values. • Must have basic math skills to calculate bar measurements. • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). • Some heavy lifting may be necessary. • Outdoor shop exposure to all elements. • Must be able to work any shift. • Must become familiar with and adhere to shop safety policies and procedures. • Must have reliable transportation; location not accessible via public transportation or within walking distance.
