About the Role

The Deck Plant Supervisor will be based in Antioch, CA, leading the Verco Decking plant to promote safety excellence and drive continuous improvement across safety, environmental, quality and productivity initiatives. The role includes overseeing daily production operations, coordinating production runs and schedules, directing the maintenance team, managing timesheets, and handling recruitment and hiring of new team members. • Lead safety initiatives and uphold Nucor’s #1 value of safety. • Oversee day‑to‑day production operations and coordinate production schedules. • Direct and support the maintenance team while resolving operational issues. • Implement training, cross‑training, mentoring, and coaching for production teammates. • Prepare daily timesheets and manage interview and hiring processes for new staff.

What You Bring

Safety is Nucor’s top priority; the supervisor must initiate, lead, and maintain safety policies, procedures and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum qualifications include at least three years of leadership experience in a production environment and strong computer skills with SAP and Microsoft Office. The position also requires strong leadership presence, accountability, initiative, communication, team‑building, coaching, and sound problem‑solving abilities. Preferred qualifications include advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, SAP, and hands‑on experience in joist or deck line operations.
