About the Role

The Environmental Coordinator will lead environmental compliance for our greenfield and temporary operations, handling permit applications, project management, training, emergency contingency plans, and community outreach. Reporting to the EHS Supervisor, the role works within the NTS Group EHS and Nucor Environmental Team to foster a positive safety and environmental culture, with an emphasis on continuous improvement of operations, culture, and environmental footprint. • Lead environmental compliance for greenfield and temporary facilities. • Manage permit applications and oversee related projects. • Develop and deliver training, emergency contingency plans, and community outreach programs. • Identify and implement improvements to operations, culture, and environmental footprint. • Collaborate with NTS Group EHS and Nucor Environmental Team to promote safety and environmental culture. • Uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications include a four‑year degree in environmental or a related discipline. Preferred qualifications are a degree in engineering (environmental, chemical, civil, or similar), knowledge of RCRA waste generation, storage, and disposal, and at least two years of experience in environmental compliance, air pollution control, waste management, or wastewater treatment, with a solid understanding of EPA regulations (air, water, EPCRA, DOT, hazardous waste). • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in environmental or related field. • Preferred: Bachelor’s in engineering (environmental, chemical, civil) and RCRA waste knowledge. • 2+ years experience in environmental compliance, air pollution control, waste management, or wastewater treatment. • Knowledge of EPA regulations: air, water, EPCRA, DOT, and hazardous waste.
