About the Role

The role focuses on estimating project costs, managing customer relationships, developing proposals, and providing technical and business development support to ensure competitive pricing, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction. • Prepare accurate cost estimates for steel joists and deck products using specifications and drawings. • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, addressing needs and concerns. • Create professional proposals outlining scope, pricing, and delivery timelines. • Lead lunch‑and‑learn and business development initiatives with engineers, fabricators, and developers. • Provide technical support throughout the sales process, answering inquiries and recommending solutions.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, preferably possess at least one year of experience in the steel joist and deck sector, and have design, estimating or steel detailing expertise, along with the ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings. Additional requirements include Canadian residency, a valid passport, willingness to travel across North America, and openness to relocation to a Nucor facility or district sales office; candidates must also demonstrate safety leadership, strong communication, problem‑solving, planning, accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and initiative. • Hold a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. • Preferably have 1+ year experience in steel joist/deck industry and design, estimating, or detailing background. • Ability to read structural and architectural drawings and understand construction processes. • Willingness to relocate to a Nucor facility or district office and travel across North America. • Canadian resident with a valid passport and ability to travel for business engagements.
