• Prepare Field Use Drawings and Bills of Materials using Tekla and VulTek. • Interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design requirements for steel joists and steel deck. • Coordinate details and connections with external structural detailers. • Collaborate with Vulcraft engineers on design loading in the 3D model. • Uphold Nucor’s safety policies, practices, and housekeeping standards.

What You Bring
Vulcraft Indiana is seeking one or more Detailers. A Detailer prepares Field Use Drawings and a Bill of Materials for manufacturing using 3D modeling software (Tekla) and a proprietary overlay program (VulTek). They must read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to steel joists and steel deck, apply them to the 3D model, coordinate details and connections with external structural detailers, and work with Vulcraft engineers on design loading. Overtime may be required to complete projects. Safety is paramount at Nucor; candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Minimum qualification is a high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in drafting, design technology, or related experience, as well as proficiency with AutoCAD, Tekla or other 3D modeling software, and Bluebeam. • Minimum qualification: High School Diploma or equivalent. • Preferred: Associate degree in drafting/design technology or related experience. • Preferred software skills: AutoCAD, Tekla (or other 3D modeling), Bluebeam.
