About the Role

The General Manager oversees vendor relationships, directly supervises mid‑management and support staff, and is accountable for budgeting, fiscal management, and overall financial performance. This versatile position enables a strategic leader to engage in core community activities while fostering employee growth. General Managers represent the organization’s image within their communities, influencing performance, stakeholder relationships, and strategic initiatives. • Provide leadership and oversight of community operations. • Monitor performance against overarching goals and initiatives. • Build positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors. • Assist in strategic planning, business development, and fiscal operations. • Review and oversee client annual financial audits. • Manage large‑scale high‑rise communities. • Manage union employees, including Local 32BJ. • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all duties.

What You Bring

Candidates must have extensive association property management experience, preferably with large‑scale hi‑rise or cooperative communities, and demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Office, professional communication, and managing unionized staff. • Possess association property management experience; cooperative management a plus. • Proficient in Microsoft applications. • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. • Expert-level command of business correspondence (grammar, structure, punctuation, spelling). • Demonstrate professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal). • Be self‑motivated, proactive, detail‑oriented, and a team player. • Exhibit strong time‑management and prioritization skills. • Have 10+ years of directly related experience. • Possess 7–10 years of management or supervisory experience.
