About the Role

Safety is paramount at Nucor, so the Branch Manager must initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times while providing strategic leadership and operational management for the branch and field placing operations, working closely with the Commercial team to execute business strategy. • Create a “Safety First” culture in the branch. • Lead production, detailing, and project management teams to maximize production and profitability. • Proactively drive change and improve facility efficiency and equipment reliability. • Interpret and apply complex regulations and policies for safety, environment, purchasing, employee relations, and best practices. • Select, lead, and develop diverse personnel to achieve company objectives. • Analyze financial statements and project the impact of decisions on operational results. • Represent the organization in local communities. • Collaborate with other departments, regions, and branch managers to support business objectives. • Monitor rebar market dynamics and manage people, inventories, and production to support strategic initiatives. • Communicate significant market data to the Commercial group and General Manager. • Lead and promote workplace behaviors consistent with Nucor values and core competencies.

What You Bring

• Communicate issues, opportunities, and recommended solutions clearly in writing and verbally. • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering with at least 2 years of business experience, OR five years of reinforcing steel detailing/fabrication/placing experience with demonstrated leadership. • Preference for rebar or construction industry experience. • OSHA 30 Industrial and Construction Safety certification preferred. • Effective communication skills across all organization levels. • Experience interfacing with customers and providing customer service. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
