Security Guard - Part Time/On-Call

About the Role
Security officers are responsible for maintaining the overall security of a property. They use various tactics to prevent theft, vandalism, and damage, may patrol the property in a vehicle, and maintain records of entries and exits at a front desk or gate. Officers track visitor sign‑ins, monitor deliveries, assist guests with information and directions, protect the property from fire risks and safety violations, respond to emergencies by communicating with emergency personnel and restraining offenders, and enforce parking regulations. Constant awareness and alertness to risks and concerns is essential. • Respond to alarms and emergency situations. • Conduct periodic tours to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment. • Greet guests and tenants, providing site and area information. • Guard and monitor premises to prevent theft, property damage, violence, and safety violations. • Perform fire prevention, safety, maintenance tasks, and enforce parking/traffic regulations.

What You Bring
Candidates should possess knowledge of state or local safety requirements, proficient conflict‑resolution techniques, professional customer service skills, and be self‑motivated, proactive, detail‑oriented, and a team player. They must be able to interpret and follow verbal or written instructions, and manage time and prioritize tasks under time‑critical conditions. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 0–3 years of directly or closely related experience. A Guard Card (PPO#17681) is required. The role involves frequent standing, walking, and talking in both indoor and outdoor environments, with overtime required for on‑call, weekend, and 24‑hour emergency situations. Employees must regularly stand, reach above shoulder level, use hands for data entry, and communicate verbally; occasional sitting is required for processing information. • Knowledge of state/local safety regulations and conflict resolution. • Strong professional customer service and teamwork abilities. • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, manage time, and prioritize tasks. • High school diploma or GED; 0‑3 years related experience. • Required Guard Card certification (PPO#17681).
