About the Role

The role focuses on mastering Nucor’s RebarCAD detailing system and the broader business processes that support cost and contract management. You will be responsible for detailing large, complex rebar projects and handling associated contractual issues. • Follow Nucor Rebar Fabrication safety programs and standards. • Conduct work in line with Nucor’s vision and values. • Independently detail and coordinate complex rebar projects using RebarCAD. • Build and maintain library routines for future project reuse. • Verify drawings, dates, specifications, addenda, and contractual information. • Collaborate with job‑site personnel to determine detailing and material delivery requirements. • Identify and communicate contract changes to customers. • Create, document, and enter change‑orders in the business system. • Detail accessories, mesh, couplers, dowel bars and generate material lists. • Communicate with architects/engineers, steel placers, and customers on project questions. • Enter all orders into Nucor’s business system and generate management reports. • Submit drawings to the drawing‑tracking system.

What You Bring

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States, hold a vocational CAD design/drafting certificate or equivalent experience, and have at least six years of rebar detailing using a CAD system. The job involves typical office activities and physical tasks such as walking, lifting equipment, and working in moderate noise environments, with the ability to work overtime when needed. • Detail in paper space/model space within RebarCAD. • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. • Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting or equivalent training/experience. • Minimum six years experience detailing rebar with CAD‑based system. • Ability to work overtime when required. • Physical ability to perform typical office tasks, walk, sit, stand, bend, lift equipment, and handle moderate noise levels.
