About the Role
The Accountant’s daily responsibilities include bank reconciliations, creating GAAP‑compliant journal entries, and preparing technical monthly financial reports. Additional duties involve assisting Community Managers with accounting guidance, organizing tax filings, supporting annual audits, and working with cross‑functional teams such as auditors, bankers, and board members. The position also requires meeting deadlines consistently and contributing to special projects as needed. • Perform daily bank reconciliations • Create journal entries in accordance with GAAP • Prepare and produce accurate monthly financial reports on time • Assist Community Managers with financial and accounting guidance • Organize and submit applicable tax forms • Support annual audit activities • Collaborate with auditors, bankers, board members, Community Managers, Regional Vice Presidents, and Accounting Services • Consistently meet individual and team deadlines • Serve clients and teammates • Take ownership of work and responsibilities

What You Bring
CAMS is hiring a full‑time Accountant (Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm) who can work remotely from North Carolina or South Carolina. The role focuses on financial production for a portfolio of associations and involves close collaboration with Community Managers, departmental heads, and accounting support staff. Strong client retention and relationship management are essential, as is delivering timely, accurate financial reporting. Candidates must be technically proficient in accounting, have strong computer skills—particularly in MS Excel—and be able to learn new software quickly. High attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with urgency are required.
