MIG welding pre‑assembled structural steel joists to CWB quality standards
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Perform GMAW (MIG) welding of assembled steel joists according to shop orders. • Conduct fit‑up and production welding on angle‑iron joist chords, including splicing when needed. • Interpret weld symbols and follow established weld procedures. • Set welding machines to meet CWB and internal quality standards. • Use cutting or plasma torches as required. • Operate overhead crane within its rated capacity. • Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly. • Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor and assist the team as needed.

What You Bring
• Ability to obtain CWB certification in GMAW (required). • Journeyman/Red Seal welder certification (asset). • Ability to work safely in a high‑pace environment. • High school diploma. • Prior steel‑industry experience (asset).
