About the Role

• Promote safety as a core value to all team members. • Establish safety policies, monitor OSHA compliance, and recommend safe practices. • Develop and administer safety training, focus groups, behavior‑based programs, and industrial hygiene initiatives. • Maintain safety, health, and incident records. • Use analytical tools to identify improvement opportunities through data and trends.

What You Bring

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. • Hold a four‑year degree in Occupational Health and Safety, engineering, or a related technical discipline. • Possess at least two years of industrial experience applying safety policies and loss‑prevention programs. • Obtain ASP designation within 180 days (or already hold ASP). • Hold EMT, NFPA 1081, or other emergency response certification. • Demonstrate leadership in safety and wellness, planning and implementing successful safety programs. • Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, VPP, and ISO 45001 standards, protocols, and compliance procedures.
