About the Role
General Ledger Accountant II is a mid-level accounting position responsible for month‑end closing and financial statement preparation for multiple entities (Non‑Profit Corporations) with a moderate level of complexity. This is an accounting support position in a fast‑paced centralized accounting services environment providing financial services to community associations throughout North America. Candidates for this position must meet Associa’s credit requirements. • Close month‑end and prepare financial statements for multiple non‑profit entities. • Process and review monthly bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations. • Record accruals, amortization, adjustments and reclassifications. • Assist with budget development and administration. • Execute year‑end close procedures. • Provide support to Community Association Managers, Branch Financial Accounting Support Personnel, and Boards of Directors. • Collaborate with AR, AP, Data Management, Delinquency, Tax and Banking teams to resolve issues. • Apply and interpret industry‑related laws. • Perform general ledger accounting functions. • Manage multiple entities, meet tight deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail. • Conduct month‑end close, bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations. • Develop and implement budgets.

What You Bring
• Understand accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel. • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally. • Use Complete Control for Communities (C3) software (preferred). • Experience in community association management (preferred). • Experience in accounting shared services centers (preferred). • Hold an Associate’s degree in accounting (or 4 years related experience) with two years full‑cycle GL experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with one year full‑cycle GL experience. • Knowledge of GAAP and AICPA guidelines.
