About the Role
As a Transmission Lineworker you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing and constructing transmission line assets across our network. You will provide the technical expertise needed to ensure our critical infrastructure meets customer expectations and reliability standards, whether responding to emergencies, managing scheduled maintenance or delivering major construction projects. You will install, maintain and repair transmission line assets, carry out inspections and identify any condition concerns. You will prepare safe work methods and safety documentation, mentor apprentices and junior technicians, and step into a crew‑leader role when needed. You will work closely with Field Coordinators and Site Managers to ensure safe, efficient and well‑coordinated delivery of all work. • Install, maintain, and repair transmission line assets; conduct inspections and identify condition concerns. • Prepare safe work methods, safety documentation, and mentor apprentices/junior technicians. • Lead crews as needed and coordinate with Field Coordinators and Site Managers for efficient work delivery.

What You Bring
Essential qualifications include a Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems (Transmission and/or Distribution) and a current Australian driver’s licence, plus an understanding of inspection, maintenance and construction requirements for transmission line infrastructure. Desirable assets are high‑risk work licences such as DG, RB, RI, RA, CV, C2, C6, WP and LF, as well as a Heavy Rigid licence and experience in high‑voltage maintenance tasks like pole replacement and insulator change‑outs. As part of our recruitment process, applicants complete standard pre‑employment assessments, including reference checks, a medical check, national police check and a driving licence and traffic offence check. • Hold Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems (Transmission/Distribution) and a current Australian driver’s licence. • Possess or be willing to obtain high‑risk work licences (DG, RB, RI, RA, CV, C2, C6, WP, LF) and optionally a Heavy Rigid licence. • Flexibility to respond to on‑call, after‑hours requests and system incidents.
