What You Bring
The Environmental Coordinator reports to the EHS Supervisor and works within both the NTS Group EHS and the Nucor Environmental Team. Positive interaction with teammates is required to promote an environmental and safety‑focused culture. Safety is paramount at Nucor, and candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum qualifications include a four‑year degree from an accredited university in environmental science or a related discipline. Preferred qualifications are a four‑year engineering degree—preferably in environmental, chemical, civil, or a similar program—plus knowledge of RCRA waste generation, storage, and proper disposal. Candidates should have at least two years of experience in environmental compliance, air pollution control, waste management, or wastewater treatment, and a solid understanding of air, water, EPCRA, DOT, and hazardous waste regulations. • Hold a four‑year degree in environmental science or a related field • Preferred: engineering degree in environmental, chemical, civil, or similar discipline • Knowledge of RCRA waste generation, storage, and proper disposal • Minimum 2 years experience in environmental compliance, air pollution control, waste management, or wastewater treatment • Familiarity with regulations for air, water, EPCRA, DOT, and hazardous waste
