About the Role

The Community Manager I provides overall supervision of a community association, interacting with homeowners, vendors, board members, committee members, and Associa staff. This role ensures the association’s operations align with the management agreement and internal policies. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily administration, acting as the primary liaison for the board and homeowners, managing community tools such as calendars and budgets, reviewing financial reports, and coordinating vendor and staff activities. The manager also supports board meetings, legal notifications, and property inspections. • Supervise association operations according to the management agreement and policies. • Act as primary liaison between the board of directors, homeowners, vendors, and Associa staff. • Direct administrative tasks and board requests, including preparation of board packages. • Manage community tools such as annual calendars, action item lists, resolution worksheets, and budgets. • Review monthly financial reports and submit management summaries to the board. • Recommend major capital expenditures to maintain community appearance and operation. • Monitor delinquency rates and oversee the collections process for the portfolio. • Attend board meetings and community events as required by the management agreement. • Notify the board of any legal actions involving the association. • Maintain unit and contract files related to association operations. • Assist with architectural reviews and routine inspections as needed. • Update resident information in the C3 database regularly. • Handle routine and special‑project vendor management, including procurement and performance evaluation. • Oversee Associa staff per contract requirements. • Coordinate inspections of building facilities and common areas, arranging follow‑up actions. • Oversee the accounts payable process in line with Associa home‑office procedures.

What You Bring

Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office and possess solid knowledge of homeowner associations, real estate, and conflict‑resolution techniques. Strong professional communication, customer service, and time‑management skills are essential, along with a self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, team‑player attitude. The position requires an associate’s degree (bachelor’s preferred) and 0–3 years of community association experience.
