About the Role
The engineer will design all components of metal building systems—including structural steel, wall and roof panels, secondary members, and stability bracing—using proprietary analysis software. Responsibilities include creating innovative designs that meet code requirements, collaborating with the Detailing Department, reviewing structural drawings for accuracy, and continuously learning through cross-team projects. • Design structural steel, wall and roof panels, secondary members, and stability bracing for metal building systems. • Utilize proprietary software for frame, secondary, bracing, crane, mezzanine, and panel analysis. • Ensure designs comply with industry codes and standards while optimizing safety and cost. • Collaborate with the Detailing Department and other teams to communicate design requirements and support project execution. • Review and check structural drawings for accuracy and completeness. • Pursue continuous learning and cross‑departmental collaboration to develop innovative solutions. • Uphold and lead safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

What You Bring
Candidates must be graduating with a BS in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam, and be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred qualifications include a focus on structural engineering, basic knowledge of building construction, familiarity with current codes, and experience with pre‑engineered metal building systems. • Graduate with a BS in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution. • Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering exam prior to hire. • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English. • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. • Preferred: focus on structural engineering, basic building construction knowledge, understanding of current codes, and experience with pre‑engineered metal building systems.
