Construction Mechanic/Electrician (Casual)

About the Role

The successful candidate will be the face of the Otis brand, installing lifts, escalators and travelators in line with codes, specifications and company procedures. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work alongside installers, electricians, adjusters, field engineers and construction coordinators to deliver safe, high‑quality installations. • Install and modernise lifts, escalators, and travelators while meeting safety, environmental, and service targets. • Complete defect repairs identified during service or hand‑over inspections in coordination with the Project Manager. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction. • Maintain and safeguard company tools, equipment, and materials. • Perform work according to lift industry codes, standards, and the Otis Quality System. • Follow Environmental Health and Safety policies and report any environmental or safety concerns. • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and work collaboratively in the field.

What You Bring

• Hold a fitting, electrical or mechanical trade qualification (or equivalent experience). • Hold a valid driver’s licence. • Be solutions‑oriented, independent, well‑organised and able to work unsupervised. • Willing to travel regionally as required. • Capable of training others and transferring knowledge. • Able to plan, prioritize and complete tasks within deadlines.
