About the Role
The role involves leading training on non‑Otis escalator equipment, ensuring field personnel follow safety and EH&S standards, and investigating critical customer issues with Otis products. The engineer will also interface with internal and external customers to develop solutions, monitor field tests and data reports, and consult with maintenance superintendents, constructors, and adjusters on performance problems. • Provide technical support to field associates on non‑Otis escalator equipment. • Lead and conduct training for field personnel. • Ensure compliance with safety and EH&S standards. • Investigate and resolve critical customer problems using Otis products. • Interface with internal and external customers to identify solutions. • Monitor field tests, first inspections, and escalator data reports. • Consult with maintenance superintendents, constructors, adjusters, and managers on product performance issues. • Proactively assist the region with malfunctioning non‑Otis escalator equipment.
