About the Role
This senior‑level role owns end‑to‑end billing accuracy, cash application, collections strategy, bad‑debt management and write‑offs. The manager will set direction, establish standards, and partner with Accounting, Finance and operational leaders to ensure strong cash flow, accurate receivables and a professional, client‑focused experience. • Develop, coach and support Collection Manager, Billing Supervisor and senior staff, fostering servant‑leadership, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. • Own the full Accounts Receivable function, including billing, cash application, collections, credit risk, bad‑debt reserves and write‑offs across multiple entities. • Design and execute collections strategies that balance cash‑flow optimization with client relationships and contractual obligations. • Lead AR leadership and staff, set clear expectations and drive accountability through performance management and coaching. • Oversee cash‑application processes to ensure timely, accurate posting of receipts across all payment methods (ACH, lockbox, wire, checks). • Partner with Accounting on month‑end close activities, including AR aging, allowance for doubtful accounts, write‑offs and related reconciliations. • Ensure strong internal controls, audit readiness and compliance with company policies and US GAAP. • Analyze AR performance metrics (DSO, aging trends, dispute volumes, recovery rates) and implement corrective actions as needed. • Collaborate with Operations, Legal and Client Service teams to resolve disputes and improve billing accuracy. • Serve as senior escalation point for complex customer issues and high‑risk accounts. • Drive continuous‑improvement and automation initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency and client experience across AR processes. • Champion a culture where doing it right the first time is essential to operational excellence and client satisfaction.

What You Bring
Associa seeks a seasoned Accounts Receivable leader who has managed high‑volume, complex customers, difficult collections, and evolving systems while building disciplined, high‑performing teams. The Senior Accounts Receivable Manager will lead and elevate the AR function across a complex, multi‑entity environment. The ideal candidate brings deep experience, sound judgment and a steady hand, enjoys mentoring teams and drives measurable financial outcomes, leaving a lasting imprint on the organization. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field and possess over 25 years of progressive AR, cash‑application and collections experience, including senior leadership in multi‑entity settings. Technical expertise in billing, cash application, collections strategy, bad‑debt accounting and ERP automation is required, along with a proven ability to lead teams through change and influence senior stakeholders. Familiarity with Lean principles is essential, and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or demonstrated process‑improvement experience is strongly preferred.
